DIS, in collaboration with Energy Crossroads Denmark (ECDK), is hosting a Nuclear Waste Movie Night – screening of the documentary “Into Eternity“ and inviting as a guest the director Michael Madsen.
“Our mankind exists for 50.000 years” “The pyramids 5.000 years” “Nuclear waste is toxic for 100.000 years” “250.000 Ton’s of high-level radioactive waste in the world in 2010”
Every day, large amounts of high-level radioactive waste created by nuclear power plants is placed in internal storage, which is vulnerable to natrual disasters, man-made disasters, and to societal changes. In Finland, the first permanent underground storage named “ONKALO” is being built.
- Is this a place that future generations must remember to forget?
- How many more secret chambers do we need to build?
It is free and open for everybody! After the screening there is room for Q&A session with our special guess, the Director Michael Madsen.
We look so much forward to see you there!!
It takes place at DIS Room 301, Vestergade 23 on this Wednesday 22th February from 6pm – 8pm. JOIN US and CONFIRM your attendance via our Facebook event Page link above:
